About the Doctor
Dr. Truscello joined Gateway Foot & Ankle Center in the summer of 2011 after completing his residency training in Louisville, KY. Originally from Charlotte, NC, he considers himself a “mutt” with regards to a hometown as he moved around quite often as a child. Dr. Truscello enjoys working in Clarksville, Hopkinsville and Cadiz, he looks forward to further expanding to the surrounding areas. Prior to Louisville he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from North Carolina State University where he was also a member of the men’s varsity soccer team. Dr. Truscello then moved north to Cleveland, OH where he attended The Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine for his medical education.
In 2008, Dr. Truscello relocated to Louisville, KY where he completed his high level surgical residency training at Norton Hospital. Dr. Truscello is Board Certified and trained in all ailments of the foot and ankle. His knowledge and skills allow him to perform the highest and most difficult surgical procedures of the forefoot and rearfoot as well as ankle reconstruction and trauma. From palliative nail care and heel pain to severe forefoot/rearfoot and ankle surgical reconstruction, Dr. Truscello is here to offer his services to the community. Whether it’s an ingrown toenail or a traumatic ankle fracture, Dr. Truscello is eager to treat you and get you “back on your feet”.
Dr. Truscello believes he has been very blessed and appreciates the support of his family. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, golfing, and his dog Layla. He loves work but always looks forward to getting home to his wife Whitney, their daughter Piper and son Brooks.
